About Basrijs

About us

Basrijs develops and manufactures professional machinery for horticulture and arboriculture.

Since developing the first machine in 1977, the range has grown to some 30 products. Planting machines, plant harvesters, row fertilisers and film layers are the main ones, but we produce many other items. The example of standard products can be found on this website, but in consultation with the customer we can also work on a customised solution.

Our solutions are designed to improve the quality of your product and increase productivity. Our quality machines are delivered worldwide.

Our history

Basrijs B.V. was founded in 1967 by Mr C.J.A. (Sjaan) Bastiaansen as a local agricultural mechanisation company. In 1977, the first in-house machine was developed; a punching machine for leek holes. This machine was marketed under the brand 'Basrijs'. Later, the company's activity expanded into independent production and development of machines for outdoor horticulture and tree nurseries. Basrijs B.V. was taken over by son Corné T.M. Bastiaansen in 2004.

The company is located in Rijsbergen (municipality of Zundert), an agricultural village in a region with a lot of outdoor horticulture and leading tree nurseries.

Part of Basrijs's success is the Bastiaansen family's great passion for mechanical engineering. In our company, the lines of communication are short, which automatically transfers the passion to our employees as well.
